is a physicist, who joined HM Factory Inspectorate in 1975 and transferred
to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) when it was formed in 1976. Extensive
experience of enforcing health and safety legislation in a wide range of
industries and services, including chemical manufacturing and other major
hazards sectors. Current interests include the development and promotion
of HSE operational policy in respect of pesticide legislation in the UK.
